REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Senior Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia (BI) Destry Damayanti revealed that the transaction value at the Indonesia Sharia Economic Festival (ISEF) 2025 reached about Rp 3.1 trillion. The figure is up more than 50 percent compared to the previous year's achievement, which was worth Rp 2 trillion.
The increase in transaction value reflects the strengthening of the national sharia economy and finances amid sluggish global economic conditions. Destry said that the achievement is not isolated from the active role of various partners, ministries, agencies and business actors involved throughout the ISEF 2025 series of activities since March.
“Thank God, the business matching value of financing, trade, and sales turnover for the four days of ISEF has reached Rp 2.6 trillion, and when combined with Road to ISEF, the total will be Rp 3.1 trillion,” Destry said in the closing remarks of ISEF 2025 at Ballroom 1, JIEXPO Convention Center, Jakarta, Sunday (12/10/2025).
Of the amount during the event, about Rp 2.5 trillion came from commitments and realization of financing, while Rp 143 billion from trade, and Rp 8.7 billion from direct sales turnover during the exhibition. This performance shows the optimism of sharia economic players amid the national economic slowdown.
Destry explained that ISEF 2025 will be the largest sharia economic and financial festival in Indonesia. During the five days of implementation, the event recorded more than 89 thousand visitors at the JIEXPO site, with the total visitors since the pre-event Road to ISEF reaching 450 thousand people.
This year's ISEF also involves 34 ministries and agencies, 30 international partners, as well as more than 700 SMEs and the halal industry. The events included 22 domestic and international forums, 28 exhibitions and business linkage activities, 30 community talk shows, as well as 20 modest fashion show parades featuring 1,785 looks by national designers.
“This achievement signals that the sharia economy is increasingly gaining a place in the hearts of people and business people, both at home and abroad,” Destry said.
According to him, the success of ISEF lies not only in the magnitude of the transaction value, but also in the formation of synergies across sectors. Collaboration between BI, ministries, agencies, and society is the key to strengthening the sharia economic ecosystem in Indonesia.
Destry confirmed that Bank Indonesia is committed to expanding sharia financial instruments in order to be able to support the growth of the sharia economy, which is now growing rapidly. He also assessed that product innovation is important homework in supporting sustainable national sharia financing.
“Our PR is in Sharia financial instruments. We need to enrich the products so that the already growing sharia economy can be fully supported by the national sharia finances,” he said.

The closure of ISEF 2025 was marked by appreciation to the winners of the sharia economy competition in various categories.
